Fenton is home to about 350 people and is located on the Western border of Kossuth County.  Fenton was originally located two miles east of the present site.  It was platted by the Western Town Lot Company in 1899 when the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad built a rail line from Burt to Fox Lake. Fenton is named for ex-governor and U.S. Senator, R.E. Fenton of New York.  The town slogan is “A Good Town for a Home Town”. Fenton Sweet Corn Days, held on the last weekend of July is the town’s well-known event.
