Fenton is home to about 350 people and is located
on the Western border of Kossuth County. Fenton was originally located two miles
east of the present site.
It was platted by the Western Town Lot Company in 1899 when
the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad built a rail line from Burt
to Fox Lake. Fenton
is named for ex-governor and U.S. Senator, R.E. Fenton of New York.
The town slogan is A Good Town for a Home Town. Fenton
Sweet Corn Days, held on the last weekend of July is the towns
well-known event.
