The Kossuth County Economic Development Corporation
has a new tool to advertise and promote the organization. A
two by eight foot banner emblazoned with the KCEDC logo
and motto "Acres of Opportunity" has been donated
by several Whittemore businesses. Elbert Chevrolet, Farmers
State Bank, A.I. Processors, KW Transport, and DK Fraser
Trucking all donated funds for the purchase of the attractive
banner which was designed and created by Sign Works of Algona.
The idea originated with the KCEDC Tourism Committee, and the
banner was used for the first time at Kossuth County's 150th
birthday celebration held on July 13, 2001. Members of KCEDC
will be able to use the sign for various events and occasions,
and the Tourism Committee would like to thank these Whittemore
businesses for their contribution
.
Pictured with the banner are: (L to R), Dan
Elbert of Elbert Chevrolet, Stuart Simonson, representing Farmers
State Bank, Daron Wilson, manager of A.I. Processors, and Kathy
Fraser, Tourism Committee Secretary. Keith Roth, owner of KW
Transport, and Dale Fraser of DK Fraser Trucking were unavailable
for this photograph.
