West Bend Celebrates Sesquicentennial

Excitement flourishes as West Bend prepares for their Sesquicentennial Celebration. The event will be a spectacular weekend with fun-filled activities for all ages.

For those who love entertainment, the showmobile will be bursting with song and dance. Enjoy the Sesqui Pageant, Redemption Singers and Celebration Iowa Singers and Jazz Band along with Chaos on Wheels, a variety show and taekwondo demonstration. Main Street will come alive with The Harry O Experience and Standing Hampton.

Other activities include a home run hitting contest, inflatable games, kickball tournament, scavenger hunt, pedal tractor pull, Farm Bureau Cookout Contest, tug of war, liberty games, slam dunk contest and the traditional sesqui beard growing contest.

All in all, the weekend promises to be a delight for area residents and visitors as West Bend showcases their community and celebrates their 150th birthday.
