EASTER EGG HUNT! The
Algona Family YMCA will be having an Easter egg hunt for its members.
Keep an eye out for colorful plastic eggs hidden in the fitness areas of the
YMCA. Collect the egg and bring it to the front desk to redeem for a
surprise. Prizes will range from bottled water to sweatshirts!
There will be a limited number of eggs, so please, only one per member.
Normal fitness area rules apply. 3-ON-3 IS BACK!
TEEN DANCE Mark you calendars for
the next teen dances. All dances run from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
Saturday, April 12th $5.00 per person. YMCA CHILDCARE With March upon us, our children are ready for warm
weather and fun days playing outside. Help satisfy your childs
appetite for fun by signing him or her up in the YMCA childcare. The
following days your child must be registered and signed up to attend the
childcare; March 7th: No School at AHS March 19th: 1:00 dismissal at AHS and BGHS March 21st: No School at AHS or BGHS March 24th: No School at AHS or BGHS March 25th: No School at BGHS March 27th and 28th: No Kindergarten or K-prep at Bertha Godfrey Thanks again to the KOSSUTH CONNECTIONS In the Know

21st Century Co-sponsored by
Kossuth Connections and PTO of Bishop Garrigan and In this series we will look at the various ways teen
communicate: Face Book, Text Messaging, You Tube, etc. We will
examine the Benefits and the Dangers. We will also discuss the Social
Effects that these forms of communicating have on our young people.
Presenters are Jackie Fonley and Please RSVP to the YMCA at 515-295-7701 as a meal

participants are welcome at any time! Each instructor works to have
classes suitable for all fitness levels and needs. Meet your friends at
the Y and try our classes. Y-PALS Y-Pals monthly
group event will be on Tuesday, March 18, @ 6:30pm at the Algona public library. Bring board
games and playing cards. A
new shipment of Y-Pal t-shirts has arrived. Stop by and pick yours up if you are a
mentor or a Pal and have not received one yet. If you are interested in spending time with a child
please stop by the front desk at the YMCA to find out more about mentoring. TUMBLING RECITAL Mark your calendars for Friday, March 28th
for the annual YMCA Tumbling recital! Dress rehearsal will be held on
March 27th. Both events will take place in the Algona High
School Gym. Please note this is a change in order to give our tumblers time
to make up for the inclement weather earlier this winter. |
