Always of an entrepreneurial spirit, Kathy Peterson started her first successful business when she was 19.  While in her mid-twenties, she was selected for a position in global human resources conducting management training for a high-tech Fortune 500 company before deciding to start her own business, PeopleWorks.  Today, Kathy’s unparalleled ability to motivate and transform people and organizations has made her one of the most sought after speakers in the Midwest.

Kathy prides herself on getting to know her clients (she counts many of them as friends) and provides each one with cutting-edge, specific, proven strategies to help them address their unique needs and challenges. She does all of that in a way that is always inspiring.  Audiences consistently give Kathy rave reviews and
remember her long after they hear her speak because of her energetic and enthusiastic style and her highly interactive keynotes and programs.

Kathy enjoys being a member of several professional organizations, including the: National Speakers Association, American Society for Training & Development, Society for Human Resource Management, Alta Chamber of Commerce, and Iowa Association of Lifelong Learning. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from Iowa State University (Go Cyclones!) and a Master’s degree in Adult Learning and Organizational Performance from Drake University. In 2001, Kathy earned certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
