Bancroft Clinic and EMS Facility Celebrate With Open House

The Kossuth Regional Health Center Bancroft Clinic celebrated the completion of the new clinic and EMS facility with an open house on December 10. More than 200 people attended to tour the building and share in the holiday refreshments.

"We have already seen improvements in patient privacy since moving to our new building," said clinic provider Jennifer Von Bank, P.A. "It's great to have the space we need for storage. We're finally able to have our patients files all in one place. I want to thank everyone who was involved in this project. Our staff loves it and so do our patients."

Hjemeland Builders served as the general contractors for the project. Bob Bisenius of the Shive-Hattery firm was the architect.

The new Bancroft Community Health Center hosts both the KRHC clinic and an EMS facility with office space, a meeting room and two ambulance bays. Kossuth Regional Health Center collaborated with the city of Bancroft and the Bancroft Community Foundation to design and raise funds for the health center. To date the campaign has raised a total of $783,872 for the project, which was estimated to cost $960,000. The fundraising committees raised $475,197 by donor visits, community events and the sale of engraved brick pavers. Kossuth Regional Health Center donated $300,000 towards the goal.

The campaign will officially close on December 31, 2006. All donors who contribute to the project by that date will be recognized on a Wall of Honor, which will be permanently displayed at the Bancroft Community Health Center.

"Even though we are officially "closing" this campaign, gifts are always welcome and appreciated," said Stacy Simpson, KRHC Foundation Director. "We are still hoping to get closer to our goal of $960,000 between now and December 31. This campaign generated some great support for health care and emergency services in the northern part of Kossuth County, and our fundraising committees are pleased with the progress we've made towards our goal in the last year and a half."

Paver sales have also reopened for the holidays. Engraved brick pavers can be purchased in a 6x6 inch size for $100 or a 6x9 inch size for $200. Orders must be sent to the KRHC Foundation office by January 15. Forms can be downloaded from the KRHC website at www.krhc.com or call 515-295-4582 to request a form.
