The City of Bancroft and Kossuth County Economic
Development Corporation would like to announce the 2nd phase expansion
of Aluma Limited. Aluma Limited is located in the Bancroft Industrial
Park. Aluma Limited makes Aluminum Utility Trailers, Enclosed Trailers,
ATV Trailers, Truck Bed Trailers, and Motorcycle Trailers, along
with picnic tables. This next expansion will allow their potential
to grow their product lines even greater on the East and west Coast.
Aluma Ltd. is expected to move dirt in the next
6-8 weeks and hope to complete this 2nd phase expansion of their
project, 24,000 sq ft. building, by March 2005 and will add about
40-50 new jobs. This project is a good example when the city, county
and business come together to be partners for the future growth
of their business, which will have sizable impact on Kossuth County,
in particular the city of Bancroft. Other partners who provided
financial or technical assistance were USDA, Iowa Lakes Community
College and North Iowa Area Council of Government (NIACOG). Maureen
Elbert, Executive Director of KCEDC said, “Aluma has potential
to be one of Kossuth County’s top ten companies, if all of
the projected growth continues to happen. We are very excited and
pleased with all partners who came to the table to make this a doable
expansion.”
President of Aluma, Mike Lloyd noted, “Aluma
is very excited about continuing the next phase of our expansion.
We have been fortunate to experience the growth we’ve had
over the last 3-4 years. We are very thankful to the city of Bancroft
and Maureen Elbert for all of their efforts in making us able to
continue to grow our business.”
Mayor of Bancroft, Jan Wolf stated, “Aluma has been a great
asset to our community and with the continued help and support from
our community, Mike Lloyd and Maureen Elbert with KCEDC, we hope
to continue to grow in the future. Thanks Aluma and KCEDC, for making
Bancroft “home” of Aluma trailers!”
