The Kossuth County Economic Development Corporation will sponsor an Intern/CEO Luncheon on July 21, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Algona KC Hall. This event will allow Kossuth County interns and local CEO’s to have an opportunity to network and gain business knowledge. Groups of interns will be able to ask questions to learn more about the various businesses in the county and what attributes the CEO’s are looking for in potential employees. Another highlight is the famous traditional “Whittemore Legion Burgers” that will be served and donated by Stuart Simonson.

The interns will conclude the luncheon by presenting to the various leaders activities and community service projects the summer interns participated in. Ashley Waller, a summer intern, says “These interns are here to make a difference; we are on a path to enhance our opportunities once we hit that workforce following graduation. KCEDC’s summer training events, along with the different networking opportunities, are truly a benefit.”

Megan Cook added, “We have been able to network with area leaders and from them we have learned more about what it takes to achieve success both inside the office setting and outside the office. The interns all have different talents and skills that make us who we are and what motivates all of us to be successful. It’s also been a great opportunity to meet new people.”

Many business leaders, over the course of 11 years, have made not just a financial commitment but a personal commitment.
