On behalf of Captain Maureen Elbert, Executive Director, “KCEDC would like to welcome the entire Intern crew aboard Kossuth County First Class Airways, Flight 2011, non-stop services from Kossuth County to your future.”
Wednesday, July 20, 2011, CEO’s and interns across Kossuth County boarded “Kossuth County First Class Airways” for the annual Intern/CEO Luncheon at the KC Hall in Algona. The theme for this year’s summer intern program was entitled: “Kossuth County: First Class Ticket to Success.” The interns latched onto this ‘first class’ attitude and carried it with them into their place of work and future endeavors.
On board, Kossuth County First Class Airways was a special guest, Ms. Stacy Besch from Innovations Salon who took us on her journey towards success and explained the ‘First Class’ opportunities Kossuth County has provided her career. The Interns also had the opportunity to meet, network, and ask area CEOs questions pertaining to their future careers. Through round table discussion, interns gained personal insight, advice for making them the best employee, knowledge about their particular field of study as well as what employers are looking for in today’s competitive work force.
A special thank you to the Career-Intern Committee, Stuart Simonson for grilling and donating the delicious burgers, the KCEDC Board of Directors, and to Maureen Elbert for her dedication and commitment to a ‘First Class’ program.
